Description

The Hypervolt has built-in 6mA DC protection but nobuilt-in AC protection, it must therefore be connected to an individual “A” Type Double Pole RCD or RCBO not exceeding 30mA; complying with IEC61008-1 /IEC61009-1 / IEC60947-2 / IEC62423. Hypervolt handles have been improved, but Theraguns are still better to hold. If you are looking to have a DIY massage, Theraguns will be easier and more comfortable to use. For a non-DIY massage, we don’t think it really matters. We believe it’s a decent entry-level massage gun that is best for personal use. It’s designed with women and people with small hands in mind. We like the improved ergonomics from what the previous Hypervolt had, the reduced weight, and, the slightly improved amplitude.

The Cushion head: This one is a flat head variation with a softer touch. It’s used on tender and bony areas. Because the Hypervolt is tethered, you don’t have to faff about with a separate cable. In this case, I prefer the setup because it maintains a clean, uniform design. However, I would like to see an untethered option at some point – untethered chargers look tidier because they don’t have a cable wrapped around them all the time. All you get with the Hyperice app is a video of a person that you should mimic. This means total focus on the phone during a massage. Hypervolt App give you a guided routines. For Hypervolts, there are 5 attachments for each of the two regular-sized devices. For the Go, there are only 2 attachments included. For Theraguns, there are 4 attachments for Prime, 5 for Elite, 6 for Pro. There are now three attachment for the new Mini 2.0 (the previous mini had only one). The Hypervolt has a removable LED plate which should be removed to access the connections and then replaced before the front enclosure (C) is fitted. We estimate 2 Pro’s stall force to be between 35lbs. and 40lbs. This makes it stronger than the Prime and almost as strong as the mid-range Theragun Elite (40lbs.). There’s a 2mm difference in stroke length between Elite and 2 Pro, but given Hypervolt revs faster, it may just have an edge over the two Theraguns. Our measurement gave us 12mm on this device. That is a slight improvement from the previous device (it has a 10mm amplitude). This means that the new Hypervolt device is a proper percussive device. Here we measure the Hypervolt 2 amplitude. The 12mm is a much welcomed change (20% increase vs. the previous generation Hypervolt). You get a lifetime warranty if you buy this device – just like every other Ekrin device. Ekrin also offers superb customer support.

It is made from premium materials, comes with 4 attachments and a carrying case. The battery is awesome (Samsung-branded), as it can run for 4-5 hours on a single charge. Oh, and it charges by USB – very convenient. The Hypervolt charges at 7kW AC, adding around 25 miles of range per hour and charging most EVs to 100% in under 8 hours. It has either IEC 62196/Type 2 or SAE J1772/Type 1 connectors with a 5m tethered cable (7.5m optional). Not only are massage guns becoming increasingly popular, but they're also an essential tool in aiding recovery. As athletes push their bodies harder and harder, recovery becomes that much more important. Ask any workout instructor or athletic train

But 2 hours is enough massage time and if you only use the device for 15-20 minutes a day, you’ll need to charge it again in a week’s time. Keep in mind however, that most batteries will drain faster when the motor is overworked – usually with more pressure applied and on higher speed gears. Both Prime and Elite’s batteries will last for 2-2.5 hours on a single charge. The mini massage guns will last for 2 to 3 hours per single charge. Another thing is that the pressure sensor is the same as the one in the old device. We have seen pressure sensors done better by other brands – Theragun Elite or Pro and Ekrin 365 or B37S. The pressure sensor is indicated by the 3-level LEDs below the main control button. In addition to the above the guidance given in the “Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation” (as amended) by the IET must also be followed. Hypervolt chargers have built-in PEN fault protection which means they can be connected to a PME (TN-C-S) incoming service which shares Neutral & Earth in the same conductor. There is no requirement to install an additional earth rod. In the event that the Protective Earth and Neutral (PEN) conductor becomes damaged/disconnected our PEN Fault system will isolate all conductors to protect the user from potential danger a PEN fault presents. In our opinion, and by comparison with other devices, Hypervolt 2 doesn’t seem to have more than 25lbs. of stall force – which is incredibly low if the market standards are anything to go by. Even at the highest speed, this device stalls rather easily – almost instantaneously when pressure is applied, especially on the first two speeds. This is a tough one.Theragun Elite is more user friendly, lighter and with better ergonomics. But Hypervolt 2 Pro is more affordable, even though it has somewhat similar performance features. It may have a shorter amplitude, but more intensity gives it a slight edge. The physical design is the most notable change between the Hypervolt GO 2 and its predecessor. As Hyperice explains, the new GO 2 has a "refreshed and sophisticated design" with improved airflow and ventilation – you can see the extra ventilation holes at the top of the device. The new arctic-grey finish looks and feels smooth. The Hypervolt GO 2 is undoubtedly classier than most smaller massage guns available now. It has a nice heft; the GO 2 is by no means heavy, but it feels sturdy enough.

Hyperice Hypervolt 2 - Featuring Quiet Glide Technology

On a different note however, we liked how the attachments on Hypervolts are nicely varied. We particularly appreciate that they include the fork and the flat head attachments. The Hypervolt app gives full control of charging modes and the ability to view energy consumption. This is available from Apple and Google app stores by searching ‘Hypervolt’ But Hypervolt 2 Pro has something else up its sleeve, it revs faster. It has 300 more percussions per minute than any Theragun. This means that even though Pro may have better and powerful stats, Hypervolt 2 Pro cannot be ignored as a reasonably powerful percussive device as well. Let’s take a look at this aspect. The 3rd mode is ‘super eco’, in this mode, the Hypervolt will only charge via solar energy. For this to work 1.4kW of surplus energy is required to begin charging, if this is not reached the Hypervolt will not charge the EV.

Note: The CT clamp wiring can be extended up to 40m using Cat5e cable or 80m using HyperConnect cable. Charge speeds are displayed in the Hypervolt app, with power and energy monitoring fitted as standard. Cable lengths
