I really don't need auto-wipers and auto-lights in the same way as I don't need a colour screen to read a text message! this is a best phone i ever use since 2002 till now, its still working perfectly with original battrey and cover face. I agree this was my choice, rather than send it back to the company in Nottingham I had bought it from, as this would have taken even longer and having sold me a dud product I didn't feel happy dealing with them any further.

This is slightly more successful than my experience with the 6310, which also worked in the end, but I can’t be sure if this was easier because I’d done it before, or because the network has become more tolerant over time, or because I had newer drivers for the Socket Bluetooth card, or because Nokia has improved the Bluetooth handling. It was delivered three days earlier than advised and is in pristine condition, so I'm happy again and delighted with my purchase, a super mobile, in fact the best ever. Becuase of its tri-band facility the Nokia 6310i gives you coverage on five continents and its Java technology lets you download applications to customize your phone to fit your needs. I know some people just like the idea of one phone etc, and yes there are pro's and cons, but i could always have a 'choice' of network sims in the car, depending on where we are!to think I have at least another 5 years of lovely, reliable, easy to use, beautifully designed Nokia 6310i to look forward to. Long story short, after 11 years with my Nokia (still on same battery) I am struggling, big time, with the current 'thing' that I have - a Samsung galaxy something or other. Also, after half year of usage the main switch on/off button on the top of the phone is refusing to work. Respectively, I use a camera, an iPod and a computer for those functions, not a phone which could do all well, but not take as good pictures as a DSLR, etc.

You can’t change the covers but there is a little panel below the 0 key that can be personalised and swapped in. The phone has the usual good Nokia games—Snake II and Space Impact as well as the pinball game, Bumper. If you are upgrading and have had your SIM for a long time, watch out when you SIM-swap, as recent Nokias only support 3V SIMs. Apart from the lack of Bluetooth SAP (and therefore connectivity with car or syncing phone numbers with the computer) the specs of the 6310i are perfect: no camera, no colour screen, reliable and easy to use keypad and >1 week battery life. Was thinking that putting a simple pay as you go chip in it, at least that way, IF the wife or I while out lost our phone, or it got broke or whatever, there is the one in the centre console.

It is difficult to see the letters and if you do not remember their position from your heart, you will be strugling. First phone sent by Mobile Fun had noisy and unreliable Bluetooth function but replacement was promptly made without demur. The phone is big enough to give a comfortable distance from ear to mouth and the keys are easy to press.

There are many reasons I like Nokia6310 - battery life, form, simplicity, voice dialing and compatible build in hands free in my vehicle. As a demonstration there is a version of the Racket game that was almost unbeatable on the 7110, which is still as difficult. Now on my third 6310i in 10 years, the first two lasted about 5 years each of very hard use and both had been dropped many many times, the last one rattled ominously for about eighteen months before finally dying. If I changed, I would certainly miss those smug conversations with people wielding a "smartphone" struggling to get a signal and when they finally do, struggling to make themselves understood. Nokia 6310 (2002): 12 Nokia phones that changed the world (And 9 crazy ones that entertained us along the way) | Stuff". At 111g with the supplied ultra slim battery and 129x47x17mm it looks and feels just like its predecessor, except the green screen and the keypad both now light up faintly blue.

Primarily marketed as a business phone, it was for some years the dominant GSM device in the corporate world. I'd much rather have a W124 than a W211, despite some of the advances in technology (in particular safety) over the years. The Nokia 6310i SIM Free will work with contract and Pay As You Go SIM cards in the UK on Vodafone, O2, Orange T Mobile and Virgin.
