It has a small white-coloured box with product photo at the front with model name and logo print, then a company address at the left side of the box and information about its specification and some address of distributors in EU at the back. Reddit and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide you with a better experience. I’m sure we all would like to see KBear rise again to the place they once were amongst the other big time audio brands that float around the budget space.

It's definitely not everyday I can still say a random pair of IEMs that comes to me can perform with no flaws, because I seriously can't think of any for this. Speaking of it being light, the Storm is quite comfortable to the ear because of it not weighing that much but does suffer from “feeling cheap” due to its heft not alluding quality. In my opinion, the back-metal plating design was a fashionable choice and appeals to my inner bias of these designs. The box is a very small one with an outer sleeve which has three different Storm iems in each of the different Storm colorways and each are imposed in line with each other. Nothing about the Storm’s staging is out of whack or not appropriate to the music I am listening to.

Those familiar with KB budget offerings will recognize the cable immediately although there are some differences from the previous generation. Rated at 32 ohms and a sensitivity of around 109 db’s (give or take a couple) the KB01 worked flawlessly with my Fiio UTWS5 ( AK4332 dac chip) when out and about. Sensitive” by Meghan Trainor on the other hand shows how that pinna gain in the upper midrange might cause a bit of glare as well. Coherency of its drivers are actually impressive given that they are single DDs which surely excel on this part on how they deliver a faster phasing response. Woodwinds like saxophones and flutes sound a bit mellow and sombre rather than reedy, airy and silvery.

This is a fun sounding, B-Boy style tuning with a penchant for big bass riffs, warm and heavy bass drops and an altogether hip-hop style. However, the upper midrange rise gives instruments like electric guitars a distinct presence in the playback which I find quite enjoyable. Mid-bassThe boom and slam are there, but again, this is not the type of set to blow your mind with bass boom. The cabinet cavity of KBEAR KS2 is made of imported high-density PC material which can well suppress the diffuse reflection of sound waves inside the cavity.Downsides to the Bass RegionThe issue that I would find with the bass region is its lack of that strident and beefy or jarring type of boom down low for them Bass Bois. I actually reviewed the Cadenza earlier in the year and gave it very high marks ( Cadenza review HERE). The medium length nozzle is one where I need either a very firm large sized tips that are longer, or I need very firm flanged large sized shallow fit tips to make for a good seal. I don’t consider myself as an audiophile or an enthusiast, therefore the terminology and the overall review will be more mainstream.

They sit firmly, and along with the built-in ear loops and the included ear tips, I often find myself forgetting that I'm even wearing any earphones. KBear made a valiant effort and really tried to dial in the tuning to match some of these other Harman tuned sets.

Above the splitter cables are twisted pairs and terminate with pre-formed earhooks without memory wire and . They’re ridiculously small in profile too, each one has been designed to fit nicely into your inner ear canals, without slipping out or from becoming uncomfortable. By the way, why in the world is KBear NOT INCLUDING the KBear 07 tips inside of every single earphone?
